Fredrick Owusu Sakyi, a 33 year old man living in Frederick county Maryland USA was arrested late Saturday night for allegedly killing his enstrange wife infront of a giant shopping center.
Fredrick County Sheriff’s Office reported that they received called of shooting at the Giant Food at 3530 Sugarloaf Parkway just after 11 p.m. They arrived to find a woman identified as Tenisha Butler also 33 of Fredrick dead on the scene.
Local authorities said they had a lot of neighbors approaching them and indicating they had ring cameras if they needed it and that the suspect had fled in a vehicle and that was even beside the security video the shopping center had provided. Based on witness information authorities started tracking the suspect and was later found in Columbia Maryland after 3 good hours of searching. A handgun and an assault rifle was found in the front and back seat of car.
The Giant Food in a statement later confirmed the incident had happened on their premises, in the parking lot and that, they were fully cooperating with the authorities and also offering prayers and well wishes to the family of the victim.
They also insisted and guaranteed that the wellbeing of their associates and customers of the Giant Food is their topmost priority. Investigations show that the then couples were going through divorce and that Fredrick Owusu Sakyi was stalking Butler and there was a history of protective order.
