Transport fares to reduce by 15.3% from Monday

The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and other transport operators in a statement have announced a 15.3 percent reduction on lorry fares.

The new price is expected to take effect on Monday, December 19.

This decision comes after the country have seen some great reduction on fuel prices and the appreciation of the dollar rates in Ghana in recent times.

“We kindly request all commercial transport operators to comply with the new fares and post same at their loading terminals,”

“We further request all operators, commuters and the general public to kindly cooperate for the successful implementation of the new fares.” Statement reads
