The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has asked the public to remain calm as they work on resolving issues concerning the reduction in transport fares to the expected 15.3% which was expected to take effect Monday, December 9.

According to the directive, the reduction is expected to cover taxi, intra-city(trotro), intercity and haulage. Transport operators have been asked to comply to this directive but have been seen doing otherwise and demanding higher fares from passengers.

The industrial relations office for GPRTU, Abbas Ibrahim Moro speaking in an interview on Star FM had urged stakeholders responsible to adhere to the directive.
