INDONESIA CRIMINALIZES SEX OUTSIDE MARRIAGE

The parliament of Indonesia bans citizens, foreigners and persons visiting the country temporarily from having affairs outside marriage. Persons engaged in sex outside marriage will serve up to a year term in prison under the laws of their country. This new law will also affect foreigners and visitors living in the country.

Unmarried individuals living together and engaging in sexual activities are subject to facing the law and serving up to a year in prison. Besides sex before marriage has been also criminalized.
