A set of circlips is made up of the retaining and snap rings that are fastened to hold firmly onto shafts. They are used in solving technical problems relating to clearance diameter (The space between one gears minor diameter and the mating gears major diameter), radial installation (a length of appropriately rated cable feeding one power point to another) amongst others.
They are mostly used in Electric Motors, Turbines, Pistons, Vehicle construction, Brake adjustment, Optical devices, Sprocket chains, Electronics, Roller/Wheel bearings, Gearing/Transmission, Clutches
There are two major types of circlips and they are External Circlip Standard and Internal Circlip Standard. The external circlip standard is mostly used for shafts with grooves whilst the Internal Circlip Standard is used for bores with grooves
