KEN OFORI ATTA STILL REMAINS FINANCE MINISTER

The decision by Parliament to decide the fate of Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta fails as Majority Members of Parliament staged a walkout to indicate that they had nothing to do with the motion by some minority members for the removal of the Finance Minister from office.

This comes after the minority leaders in parliament filed a motion for his removal from office due to financial mismanagement of the economy on October 25, 2022

However, the speaker had also set up a 8-member ad-hoc committee to look into the issue and submit a report on that and has been presented on November 25, 2022.

Members of the adhoc committee were the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP for Adansi Asokwa constituency, K. T. Hammond, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP for Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Ayine.
