The sports complex, named after the late Overlord of Mamprugu, Na Sheriga has got facilities such as changing rooms, offices, a standard astroturf, a VIP stand and 1000-seater stands at opposite ends of the pitch, as well as large standing areas for future expansion. The occasion was graced by dignitaries from all walks of life with former Black Stars players and legends serving as special guest of honor for an inaugural football match at the complex.

Vice President Dr. Bawumia and Stephen Appiah (former Black Stars captain), led a local side, partnering with Armah Senegal whiles Asamoah Gyan( another ex-black star captain) also led another local side with Laryea Kingston. The dignitaries thrilled the locals with some amazing skills and Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia scoring a penalty as part of the commissioning ceremony.
