PROTESTORS THROW SOUP AT MONA LISA PAINTING

Two environmental activists from a group called Riposte Alimentaire threw pumpkin soup at the Mona Lisa painting in the Louvre Museum in Paris. The painting, which is one of the world’s most famous artworks by Leonardo da Vinci, is protected by bulletproof glass and was not damaged.

The protesters claimed that they were demanding the right to “healthy and sustainable food” and social security. They were arrested by the police shortly after the incident. This is not the first time that the Mona Lisa has been targeted by activists. In 2022, another protester threw cake at the painting.
