THE BLACK STARS FAIL TO SHINE

The football match between Ghana and Mozambique at the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) was a dramatic one, as Mozambique scored two goals in the stoppage time to hold Ghana to a 2-2 draw.

The result likely spells the end of the tournament for Ghana, who finished third in Group B with only two points.

Ghana’s goals were both scored by Jordan Ayew from the penalty spot, one in each half. Mozambique’s goals were scored by Geny Catamo from the penalty spot on 91 minutes and Reinildo Mandava’s header on 94 minutes. The fans of the Black Stars after the match made their frustrations known to the team, as some fans waited to see the players leave the stadium and booed them.
