WORLD CUP WINNER HERMOSO TESTIFIES IN COURT AFTER KISS SCANDAL

Jenni Hermoso, the Spanish footballer, testified in court on Tuesday January 2, 2024 over the unwanted kiss from Luis Rubiales, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), after Spain’s World Cup victory in August 2023. She told the court that the kiss was not consensual and that she felt disrespected and coerced by Rubiales and the RFEF.

Miss Hermoso also said that her image and reputation had been tarnished by the incident and that she had received threats and pressure from various sources and hoped that her case would empower other women and bring a new era of sexual equality in soccer and society.

The judge is yet to decide whether the case should go to trial or not.
