WWE RAW, the most popular weekly show in pro-wrestling, has signed a $5 billion deal with Netflix to exclusively stream the program from 2025. This means that RAW will leave linear television for the first time in its 31-year history and become available only on the streaming service in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Latin America, among other territories.
The deal also includes all WWE shows and specials outside the U.S., such as SmackDown, NXT, WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble.
This is a major partnership that will expand the reach and revenue of WWE, as well as bring weekly live sports entertainment to Netflix’s 200 million subscribers.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, said: “Raw is the best of sports entertainment, blending great characters and storytelling with live action for 52 weeks a year and we’re thrilled to be in this long-term partnership with WWE.
