During a courtroom proceeding on Wednesday, 3, 2024 things turned violent as a defendant attacked a Las Vegas Judge.
Inmate 30-year-old Deobra Delone Redden made a flying leap over the bench to attack and assault the County District Judge Mary Kay Holthus, slamming her against the wall and pulling her to the floor as she was about to announce the Redden’s sentence in a felony battery case.
Authorities say the Judge Mary Kay Holthus suffered minor injuries while a courtroom marshal suffered a dislocated shoulder and a bleeding gash on his forehead for attempting to prevent the attack. Both remain in stable conditions but It’s shocking as such attacks in court turn to be rare.
