The Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia, was recently involved in a severe road accident. The incident occurred while she was returning from the Ashanti Region. Unfortunately, the accident resulted in the loss of one life. Samira Bawumia herself is in a stable condition.
The crash took place on January 13, 2024, near Nobewam on the Accra to Kumasi Highway. In addition to the fatality, eight other individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries in a multiple-vehicle collision.
One of her bodyguards, known as Fuseini, who had been serving as the Second Lady’s bodyguard since 2008, tragically lost his life in the incident. The authorities are conducting preliminary investigations to determine the cause of the crash.
