Self – Aligning Ball Bearing – Nakib Picasso Company Limited

Self-aligning ball bearings are used when there is difficulty in fixing a shaft and it’s housing especially when the shaft could cause a bend in its operation.

The outer part of the self-aligning ball bearing is round and its center point meets with the bearing inside it. This makes the inner ring, balls and cage to move around freely at the center of the bearing or at its meeting point. Self-aligning ball bearings have a low axial load capacity. Meaning they are unable to carry much pressure hitting then at a 90 degrees angle or on the surfaces within which they operate. However, such angles may not be allowable depending on the surrounding structure.
