This comment on twitter comes after a poll was created to determine if twitter users still wanted him as the head of the social media platform or not.
Votes collated were more that 17.5 million with 57.5 percent of people wanting him to resign.
MINORITY PREVENTS GH¢80M NATIONAL CATHEDRAL BUDGET
The minority in parliament has prevented the approval of the GH¢ 80m for the construction of the National Cathedral for 2023.
According to the minority, officials of the ministry of finance have failed the to convince them about the allocation of funds and also not being able to account for the already allocated funds of about GH¢300 million already spent on the project.
This led to the minority on the committee calling for voting to decide on the issue.
As it stands now, allocation would be made to the Ministry of Tourism without the allocated funds for the construction of the National Cathedral.

COVID-19: Update on vaccinations in Ghana
Director General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Patrick Kumah Aboagye, has mentioned that 22,372,989 people have been vaccinated since the COVID-19 mass vaccination program began on March 2, 2021.
In a ministry press briefing on Sunday, December 18, 2022, Mr Aboagye said that the update of vaccinated Ghanaians shows that 9,736,426 have been fully vaccinated, representing 30.7%.
In addition, 12,792,555 persons, representing 40.3% have so far received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 3,101,902 have so far received their first booster dose.
Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye added that measures have been put in place to check on international travels to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“A surge in COVID-19 cases among international arrivals is expected largely due to; anticipated increase in the number of arrivals; increase in global travel with the associated risks of disease transmission; similar experience during past Christmas season; possible emergence of new strains of concern; increased activities in-country also likely to contribute to a possible surge.
“The Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service will continue to implement the protocols on international travel as currently exists. Increased surveillance and monitoring of new strains and persons returning from countries of concern,” he said.
Twitter users to decide the fate of Elon Musk
Elon Musk is currently running a poll on twitter to determine if he will remain as the key leader with twitter or not.
This decision comes after recent backlash on twitter for account suspension accusations especially on the side of some affected journalists who report on musk, and also about the intention to stop the free promotion of other social media platforms.
“Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll,” Musk tweeted on Sunday.
“As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it,” Musk added in a later tweet.
As of early Monday morning, the poll had nearly received 10.5 million votes, with users voting 56.3-43.7 percent for Musk to go.
Twitter over the weekend reinstated most of the suspended accounts after Musk asked users to vote on lifting the suspensions immediately or in seven days.
Musk, a self-described free speech absolutist, has pledged to open up the platform to a greater diversity of views and tackle what he has characterized as the site’s liberal bias.
Seth Terkper: Signs are looking good but support with fact
Ghana’s Former Finance Minister, Seth Terkper has mentioned that the signs are looking good on the economy but raised a concern about government supporting these new developments with facts in order to allow Ghanaian citizens make informed decisions and also not blaming things on global issues when things are not going on well.
“The signs are looking good but let us support it with fact,” The former finance minister told some journalist at the just ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates conference at Accra Sports Stadium on December 17.
“When it so going bad it is global situation but when it is going well it is the government,” he said.
His comments come after the Ghanaian cedis gaining more value in recent times than before.

DR CONGO – 38,000 residents affected by floods
The death toll in the Democratic Republic of the Congo continues to rise following heavy rain and extreme flooding that have ravaged the country in recent days.
At least 169 people have died as a result of destructive rains in the capital Kinshasa, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and officials said on Friday.
The flooding left another 30 people and pulverised an estimated 280 homes across the capital of some 15 million people, in which approximately 38,000 residents have been affected. The city’s Mont-Ngafula and Ngaliema districts were the hardest hit by the downpours, officials said. A joint team from OCHA and the government’s social affairs ministry visited affected areas on Thursday to inspect the damage.
“Today marks the end of three day of national mourning in memory of those deceased,” OCHA said in a statement. “The Government has confirmed that it will organize a dignified and secure burial of those who have lost their lives.”
Transport fares to reduce by 15.3% from Monday
The new price is expected to take effect on Monday, December 19.
This decision comes after the country have seen some great reduction on fuel prices and the appreciation of the dollar rates in Ghana in recent times.

TYPES OF BELT DRIVES
A belt drive is a flexible rubber coil that is used to connect two or more rotating machines in a parallel form. They are often used as a medium for the transmission of energy for machines.
- Round belt
Round belts mainly fit into U or V-shaped channels or columns in machines. They have a round cross – section that makes them suitable in industrial conveyors, packaging machines, shafts, photocopiers, printers and many more.

5. Timing belt
Timing belts are used on vehicle engines, allowing them to operate properly. They facilitate the movement of an engine system where they contribute to the opening and closing of an engine system as expected.
Timing belts need to be changed regularly to prevent damages or breakdown of cars.
The teeth of the belt are meant to grip and move smoothly but can cause more clicking sounds when damaged or can affect the speed of an affected car.
6. Power transmission belts
The SPC belts are made from rubber and purposely designed for industrial machines for high-speed performance and efficiency. They are used in industrial machines in the following areas; power generation industry, construction, water, mills, cement. Blowers, generators and many more.
SPB belts are also used in the same industry just as SPC. However, the difference between the two is that SPB is made of gray cast iron while the SPC is made from rubber.
