AS Roma has parted ways with head coach Jose Mourinho after two and a half years in charge. The decision comes following a poor run of form, with the Giallorossi winning just one of their last six Serie A games and currently sitting ninth in the league. Former Roma captain Daniele De Rossi has been named as Mourinho’s successor.

Mourinho led Roma to victory in the Europa Conference League in 2022 and guided them to the Europa League final last season, where they were defeated by Sevilla on penalties. His contract was due to expire in June. De Rossi will take charge until June, with the club having an option to renew his contract based on achievements and results.

The club expressed gratitude to Mourinho for his passion and efforts during his tenure, but they believe that an immediate change is in the best interests of the club. Mourinho’s departure was not a sudden decision, and the owners had considered the team’s performance over the entire season before making this move.

Roma fans bid farewell to Mourinho, and now the legendary Daniele De Rossi takes the reins as manager until the end of the season.

ELON MUSK STEERS TESLA TOWARDS AUTONOMOUS DOMINANCE

0

Elon Musk has expressed his preference for greater control over Tesla Inc. before venturing into building artificial intelligence (AI) products within the company. Specifically, he stated that he would rather develop AI products outside of Tesla if he doesn’t have 25% voting control.

This is because Musk views Tesla as a conglomerate of multiple startups rather than just an electric car manufacturer. The company is involved in various cutting-edge projects, including the development of the Optimus robot and the Dojo supercomputer for training machine-learning models behind Tesla’s self-driving systems. Tesla’s innovations extend beyond electric vehicles (EVs) and include advancements in AI and robotics.

Elon Musk emphasizes the need for influence in shaping Tesla’s AI and robotics endeavors. With 25% voting control, he would have a significant say in decision-making. At a lower ownership percentage, the risk of being overridden by other shareholders could make a takeover by external interests too easy. Musk’s desire for greater control stems from his vision of Tesla as a multifaceted technology company, and he wants to ensure that the company remains at the forefront of AI and robotics development.

Volcanic eruptions have been a significant part of Iceland’s history ever since the island arose from the North Atlantic millions of years ago. These eruptions have not only shaped the country’s landscape but also influenced the culture of the Icelandic people.

There have been recent volcanic eruptions in Iceland once again particularly in the town of Grindavik. The volcanic eruption set fire to homes in Grindavík and has begun receding after the second such incident struck the area in four weeks. Iceland’s President Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson, declared that the southwestern area of the country is entering a “daunting period of upheaval” following a second volcanic eruption. A second fissure opened near the edge of town, and lava crept toward the homes.

This eruption is considered one of the most dangerous in recent history. The eruption fired out 10 times more lava per second than any of the past three at their peaks. The southernmost part of the fissure is about 900m from the town of Grindavík. The lava is now flowing towards the fishing town in the Reykjanes peninsula, resulting in a forced evacuation of its residents.
